Peace…
and prayers count but are never enough.
This community has always been so open, so inclusive, and so
integrated into the town of Providence that spending time there
was always a joy, always filled with lovely people. My heart aches
for the two students who died and
all the other lives that are changed forever. It is one of those
places that when you visit, you want to live there.
This has been a horrible weekend, and now Rob and Michelle Reiner.

This one at Brown hits so close to home. I worked at one of the academic departments there in the 1980s. Walked those sidewalks, knew professors, took some philosophy courses myself. The only way for us to be safer, and freer is to be civilized. A truly civil society leaves space for kindness and compassion. The current toxic, violent, angry energy in the collective. So sad. I agree with Claudia, though. We can tap those veins of gold. Keep going.
Sending peace and love your way. It was a rough week, to say the least. Big Hug!
