Ann, this brought me a splash of joy as I remembered a visit to Beatrix Potter's garden in 2007 with my husband. The Lake District was magical and you captured that feeling.
Wonderful, Ann! So talented and humble. I like how the colors capture the rainy scene in blended shades of blues and greens with a patch of yellow. Your painting makes me feel like I could walk with her up the puddled path leading to the house of BP. Most of all, I love the message of caring for others in the story. Spectacular!
It sounds like the trip of a lifetime. And the comments about your husband remind me of how grateful I am for my own generous guy, who supports my personal passions. 💕
HI Ann, I didn't realize you were an artist, too! Lovely...post and artwork. At quick glance, we seem to have a lot in common from politics to past-times.
Wonderful painting. I love the Lake District. I almost expected to see Peter Rabbit running through Beatrix Potter's Garden. You captured the essence of a magical place.
I appreciate your sweet comments and thank you for reading. I was very lucky with that painting. It was a half sheet on 300 lb paper and that size often did not get finished!
Beautiful painting, Ann. The trip, the artists, and the doctor and assistants at the clinic sound so kind and generous. Much like your experience with your husband. I am sure you miss his presence in your life.
Thank you Dee, so much for reading. I love listening to you read your memoir. I remember a lot of what you remember but it helps me remember some of my memories to read your posts and to hear you. Thank you.

Both pieces are so beautiful! The rainy day invites me to meander on that path. So lovely.
Thank you Wendy. Why am I always catching up!?
